Navsari is an old town near the Purna river delta in south Gujarat, long linked with neighbouring Surat. It is an important centre of Parsi heritage in India, home to some of the community's oldest fire temples. Just offshore is Dandi, where Mahatma Gandhi ended his Salt March in 1930.
