Jampui Hills is Tripura's only hill range, running along the Mizoram border in North Tripura district at an average altitude of about 1,000 metres. Home to Mizo and Reang communities, it is known for orange orchards, sunrise and sunset viewpoints, and Betlingchhip, the state's highest point.

When to go

October to December brings peak orange harvest and colorful orchards; the wider October-March window is coolest and clearest for viewpoints.

How to reach

By Road: Jampui Hills is roughly 200-220 km from Agartala via Dharmanagar and Kanchanpur, reached by shared jeep or private vehicle on mountain roads. By Air and Train: Agartala has the nearest airport; Dharmanagar, about 70 km away, is the nearest railway station.
