Warangal, the former capital of the Kakatiya dynasty, is a treasure of medieval South Indian art. The Thousand Pillar Temple, the carved Warangal Fort gateways and the UNESCO-listed Ramappa Temple showcase some of the finest Kakatiya craftsmanship in stone.
